Options Schools offers Indiana College Core with Ivy Tech

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – In partnership with Ivy Tech Community College, Options Schools is excited to announce an expansion of opportunities for Options students to earn the Indiana College Core (ICC). Options Schools is the first school in Hamilton County to offer this service through a combination of dual credit and dual enrollment courses, along with other forms of verified credit.

Dual credit provides students with the opportunity to be simultaneously enrolled at Options and a college or trade program, while obtaining credit culminating in mastery of the subject matter.

The Indiana College Core ensures that a student’s 30 hours of general education credit transfers between Indiana public colleges and universities.

Included below is a full list of courses now available with the expanded partnership between Options and Ivy Tech.

As part of the partnership, Options Schools will offer the following:

  • 30 credit hours of coursework and/or verified credit (AP, Cambridge, CLEP) aligned with the Indiana College Core.
  • At least 15 of the 30 credit hours of college coursework required to complete the ICC through dual credit or dual enrollment programming.
