Ryder
Options Westfield High School

Grade: 11th

When did you begin attending Options?
April 2021 at Options Carmel

How has your Options experience been?
It’s been very good. I have felt like I can focus more during classes, which I struggled with previously. Also, everyone really wants each other to succeed. Teachers are always available to help, but even students help each other a lot.

What was the transition like from Options Carmel to Options Westfield for you?
Well, I really like our new campus, and it was a nice upgrade. There were some new people to meet when this school year started also, but it’s just comfortable here and has the same great energy.

Away from school, do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending time?
My favorite thing to do is skateboarding, and I like to do that a lot. I was probably like five years old the first time I picked up a skateboard, and I just loved it ever since. I also paint a lot and I enjoy listening to music.

What kind of growth or improvement have you seen within yourself?
I’ve become much more social and personable, and the environment really helped with that.

What is your favorite subject in school?
Right now, probably creative writing. I really like that class, and being able to write about what we like, but also learning about the way to write and appeal to the reader.

Do you have any current plans or aspirations for when you’re older, or after you graduate?
I want to go to college for video & film editing. After that, I want to progress into the field, and I think I want to become a writer or director, but I want to see what happens as I experience it all.

Leviticus
Options Indiana High School

Grade: 12th
Hometown: I was born & raised in Fort Wayne

When did you enroll at Options?
August 2020

Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
In my free time I honestly just focus on preparing for adulthood. I focus on specifically researching financial stability and colleges so that I can prepare to face the REAL WORLD. On a side note, I also focus on writing a studio album that I’ve been working on for a while. Another honorable mention is the book I would like to write about my life!

What is your favorite thing about going to Options?
My favorite thing about Options is the flexibility and the accountability. Options give you the tools to succeed within their curriculum BUT it’s all up to you to make things work! They are very flexible with situations and provide a lot of help to students who are struggling.

What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school is English because while studying it you can learn a lot of valuable things that seem like nothing but really are everything.

Have you improved in any areas since enrolling at Options?
I’ve honestly never been more invested in my schooling my whole entire life, since started in Options Indiana. I’ve improved in all areas thanks to the amazing staff.

Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
Well, I plan on going to college for Business Administration so that I can start up my own business. I would actually like to start up a few along with a franchise!

I’ve improved in all the subjects we’ve learned in class so far.

Hometown: Indianapolis, IN

When did you enroll at Options?
Second semester of my 8th-grade year, in the beginning of 2020

Do you have any hobbies, passions or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I’m very much into music; playing it, listening to it, etc. I also love spending time with my family and friends.

What is your favorite thing about going to Options?
My favorite thing about being at Options is the lovely people that support me and help make Options what it is. I’ve felt so seen and valued since I’ve been a part of Options Academy, and I’ve also felt such a foundational understanding throughout the tougher parts of each year from all the staff.

What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school is English! I love to write.

Have you improved in any areas since enrolling at Options?
I’ve for sure improved in so many aspects since attending Options. My independence and personal accountability have become stronger, my academic strategies have improved, and my goal setting has also grown. I’ve also been able to gain the opportunity to cultivate creativity in ways that I haven’t before.

Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I’m not set on any career paths quite yet, but I’m very interested in psychology and how the brain works and develops, so I could see myself aspiring to go into that field!

Tobin

Hometown: Connersville, IN

When did you enroll at Options?
Fall 2021

Do you have any hobbies, passions or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I have a couple of big hobbies. For example, I love to play with RC boats and I like to fix them when they break. I also love to program games with the languages python, c#, java, html, and xml. Soon to come, my uncle will help me program better.

What is your favorite thing about going to Options?
I love Options because you can work at your own pace, and be on a good level.

What is your favorite subject in school?
I mostly like Math the most followed by science. I like math because I can learn with my mom since she knows it well. And with science, I just fell in love with astronomy and all the stuff that we still want to learn about our universe.

Have you improved in any areas since enrolling at Options?
I have improved in many things and subjects. For example, I have learned a lot about astronomy and social studies. This school has also helped me with anxiety and tourettes.

Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I only have a couple of plans for life but mostly my dream is to become a programmer and to enjoy what I do for a living. I also want to spend valuable time with my family while they are still here.
