World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) testing, this February

Hello from the Options Schools Test Coordination Department!

As a state requirement, select students will complete the English Proficiency exam, World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA), prior to February 27th. This test covers the following categories:

  1. Listening
  2. Reading
  3. Speaking
  4. Writing

Each category takes approximately one hour to complete for a total of four hours and we will offer test date of February 15. If your student is eligible, but unable to attend please contact your school leader to coordinate a time for your student to test.

Students who take this test and earn at least an overall score of 5 (bridging level) will then be exempted from taking the test. Please contact your student’s school leader or testing representative for more information.

Sincerely,
Josh Curry, ELL Liaison (jcurry@optionsined.org)
