What do you enjoy most about being part of the Options team?
I enjoy being part of the Options team because I believe in the Options mission. Since I came to education out of a non-education field, I recognize the importance of preparing students for post-high school life challenges in pursuing higher education or directly to a career. The Options mission of providing an excellent education for everyone and the “Belong, Believe, Achieve” motto where “No one is different, because everyone is different” fits my world view that everyone has the potential to make a positive impact with their life. Working with a team of amazing professionals who live by this mission and leadership fully committed to modeling this paradigm is exactly where I want to be professionally at this stage of my life.

What do you enjoy outside of Options?
Being a wife and mom is what makes me tick. I have 3 grown children and my favorite past-time for the last 30 years has been watching my children work hard and pursue their life goals. My oldest completed his college athletic career in basketball, is a graduate of IUPUI and is currently pursuing his career working with youth in athletics. My youngest is a senior at Purdue university, pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. She played varsity basketball in high school and is continuing athletic pursuits and training for her first marathon. My middle played oboe first chair, participated in the youth symphony orchestra, plays guitar, is brilliant in his ability to debate philosophy and politics, and is currently exploring his varied interests. I’ve been married for 35 years to my wonderful husband, John. We enjoy traveling and exploring.
