What do you enjoy most about being part of the Options team?
I enjoy being part of the Options team because I believe in the Options mission. Since I came to education out of a non-education field, I recognize the importance of preparing students for post-high school life challenges in pursuing higher education or directly to a career. The Options mission of providing an excellent education for everyone and the “Belong, Believe, Achieve” motto where “No one is different, because everyone is different” fits my world view that everyone has the potential to make a positive impact with their life. Working with a team of amazing professionals who live by this mission and leadership fully committed to modeling this paradigm is exactly where I want to be professionally at this stage of my life.

What do you enjoy outside of Options?
Being a wife and mom is what makes me tick. Two of my 3 children are athletes, and the 3rd is a musician. So, my favorite hobbies/past-time for the last 20 years has been watching my children work hard and have many successes in their sports and music. My oldest just finished his college athletic career in basketball, is currently getting certified to teach, and is working as a coach at the Indiana Basketball Academy. My youngest started as a varsity basketball player her freshmen year of high school and is consistently on the AB honor roll. My middle played oboe first chair, participated in the youth symphony orchestra, plays guitar, is brilliant in his ability to debate philosophy and politics, and is currently majoring in Public Policy at IUPUI. I’m a proud mom of 3 and wife of almost 28 years to my wonderful husband, John.
