January 2023

When did you begin working in the field of education?
I started teaching students with emotional behavior disorders in Kokomo, Indiana in August 2019

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Options team?
Everyone is so warm and welcoming here at Options. The director is very passionate about the school and what it offers, which is a huge tell about what kind of place it is to be a part of. I love that Options gives all learners a chance to succeed, and it doesn’t require students to fit in a one size fits all box. I’m very excited to be a part of the team and grow with the staff and students.

What do you enjoy outside of Options?
I enjoy reading in my spare time. Last year I surpassed my reading goal of 20 books and read 52 books! I have three boys who keep me busy (so yes, most of those books are audio books). Lucas is 14 and loves basketball, Ivan is 9 and loves anime, and Jude is 8 and he loves Godzilla and Kaiju monsters. We like going to the Children’s Museum and swimming when we aren’t at home hanging out. I love dogs as well. We have a deaf boxer named Aloyscious (Wishy) and an Australian shepherd named Norah Jean. We also have two cats, Rosie and Roary. I don’t necessarily enjoy it, but I spend a lot of time cleaning my house.
