When did you begin working in the field of education?
I began teaching in May of 2015, as a Social Studies Teacher in Indianapolis, IN (Transitions Academy).
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Options team?
The Options team has been so welcoming and supportive. I feel like I am already a part of the family! I also really enjoy working in an environment where the student comes before the standard! I am really enjoying getting to know my students and their parents. I have always hated the one-size-fits-all approach to education. At Options Indiana, I feel like we really sit down with our students and help create a plan that works for them!
What do you enjoy outside of Options?
Outside of Options, I love spending time outdoors and with my family! I love hiking, backpacking, camping, and just generally being outside. I am an avid paintball player and love spending weekends on the field! Any time other than that, you can probably find me with my son, working on a project in the basement, or reading a book!
