When did you join the Options team?
August 2022.
When did you begin working in the field of education?
This will be my first year starting in an educational role. For the past three years I have been working as a Registered Behavioral Technician.
I first started off as an intern at a clinic in muncie when I was searching for experience in psychology after my first year of schooling. I fell in love and later became a full time technician. I have worked one on one in a clinic, home-based and school setting. During this last year my passion has changed and I have been working on my degree in special education and elementary education. Which ultimately led me to Options!
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Options team?
I am very excited to meet everyone, students and the staff. I have been in roles that have seemed to isolate myself from a team environment. It’ll be great to build a community with everyone, especially the kids.
What do you enjoy outside of Options?
I will gladly spend hours reading outside on my porch or searching for a new book in Barnes and Noble. Who needs diamonds when you have a book? Besides being the world’s biggest bookworm, I do enjoy finding new restaurants to venture to. You can never go wrong with a good book or food.
