Grade: 10th
When did you begin attending Options Noblesville?
I started at the beginning of this school year
How have your first couple months at Options been?
It’s been going great, and I’ve been working hard on my grades.
Away from school, do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I like to play different simulator games on the computer: either bus, plane, or train. I’m also a big public transit enthusiast, and I think the expansion & growth of public transportation is important.
What is your favorite subject in school?
History has always been something that interests me
Do you feel that you’ve improved in any areas since coming to Options?
Definitely. I’ve been a lot better in science.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for when you’re older, or after you graduate?
I want to pursue something in the transportation industry for sure. I think it is important to be on the administrative side of things, so I can help make a positive impact.
Noah R.
Options Westfield Middle School
Grade: 7th
When did you begin attending Options?
I started at here in August at the start of the school year, after being homeschooled for a few years.
How have the first couple months of the school year been for you?
It’s very different because so much of this is new. I think I attended 1st grade before I was in homeschool, so things were new at first, but I’ve really settled in now & enjoy it a lot.
Away from school, do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I like to read a lot, and a lot of different types of things too. Right now, I’m reading The Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan. I’m on book two out of five & I like it so far.
What have you enjoyed most about the Options experience?
Probably the teachers.
What is your favorite subject in school?
Social Studies because I like Steve as my teacher.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for when you’re older, or after you graduate?
I would like to move to Australia and work at the Irwin Zoo. I’ve always been a really big fan of animals & nature.

When did you begin attending Options?
Just at the start of this school year
How has the first month of the school year been for you?
It’s been good. You can’t get lost on campus, and the class sizes are nice.
Away from school, do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I like to listen to music and draw things for other people. It really makes people happy to get something they aren’t expecting, so I like to surprise people with my art.
What have you enjoyed most about the Options experience?
With the smaller classes, it’s been easier to connect more with other students & even teachers too.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I would say P.E. because I like doing the group activities with our class.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for when you’re older, or after you graduate?
I would love to work towards something relating to a foreign language. I’ve taken a few Spanish classes before, so I am interested in other languages. Possibly something like a Japanese-to-English translator.

Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I love to spend my free time playing basketball or playing Xbox.
What is your favorite thing about Options?
Not having a specific deadline during the day to complete & submit my work.
What is your favorite subject in school?
P.E.
Have you improved in any areas since first enrolling at Options?
I’ve improved in English classes
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I am going to become a sports commentator.
Hayden D.
Options @ HYCA

What has your HYCA experience been like?
It’s been pretty good. The physical fitness aspect hasn’t been as tough on me because I’m used to working out and being active. With school work, it’s also nice to have the support of teachers & the flexibility as well during our class periods.
Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I like sports and really enjoy playing basketball.
How has Options @ HYCA been beneficial to you?
I’ve been able to become better at handling situations I face and being more level-headed.
What is your favorite subject in school?
History because I like learning about all the different things of the past
Do you have any current career plans or aspirations?
I want to enlist in the National Guard.
Sam J.

Where are you from in Indiana?
My hometown is Fort Wayne
When did you enroll at Options?
I enrolled in January 2021
Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I really like playing my trumpet, and participating in bands, and orchestras, such as the Fort Wayne Youth Philharmonic, where I am the principal trumpet player.
What is your favorite thing about Options?
It was just the right school for me, because it is more flexible than most schools, allowing me to have a job during the day.
What is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject is history.
Have you improved in any areas since first enrolling at Options?
I’ve improved the speed and efficiency of how I learn.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I plan to go to the Purdue University Fort Wayne School of Music, to get a Bachelors degree in the Science of Music.
