Options Westfield High School

When did you begin attending Options?
Earlier this school year, in December
How has your first year at Options been?
I came in from a different school during the year, but I was able to get comfortable in a short amount of time. The teachers and students were all super welcoming & it’s been awesome.
Away from school, do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending time?
In my free time, I like to go the gym, read and spending time with my family
What have you enjoyed most about the Options experience?
The people, the energy, and activities!
What is your favorite subject in school?
They all have good things to give me, so I like them all.
Have you improved in any areas since starting at Options?
My English
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I want to go to college. I am still looking for a career that I am truly passionate about.
How would you explain Options to a friend?
I would tell them that Options is an excellent opportunity to learn and meet some nice people, like professors who are willing to help anyone, friendly students, a nice atmosphere and always full of smiles!

When did you begin attending Options?
At the start of this school year
How has your first year at Options been?
It’s been pretty cool. The teachers are nice, and I’ve made some friends also. The teachers are just a lot different from what I’m used to, with how they support students and approach each day. The other students are great too because you can just always be yourself.
Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your time?
I got a bike recently, so I really have been enjoying riding my bike. I also have a passion for writing.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I would say English / Language arts, going back to my interest in writing.
Are there any areas you feel like you’ve improved since attending Options?
I think I’ve improved overall, I’m just much happier and the environment here has helped with that.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for when you’re older, or after you graduate?
I’m not sure right now.

Do you have any hobbies, passions or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I love building cars and racing
What is your favorite thing about going to Options?
I love how the teachers are so nice and helpful it helps a lot
What is your favorite subject in school?
I love social study because I like learning about new things, and/or things from the past
Have you improved in any areas since enrolling at Options?
I’ve improved in all my classes because all the teachers are very helpful and understanding
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I plan on going into the Marines after I graduate from high school.

How long have you been attending Options with ABA?
This is my second semester
Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I like to listen to music and watch videos on YouTube. I’m also interested in Tony Hawk and skateboarding.
What is your favorite thing about attending Options with ABA?
The teachers are nice.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I like reading and working on the computer so I can learn new things.
Have you improved in any areas since enrolling at Options?
I have improved in not getting so mad when things are hard.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I would like to have a job where I can work with fossils. I’m very interested in fossils and rocks.

Do you have any hobbies, passions or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
Yes, I like being with my friends & being outside. I enjoy things like swimming, riding my bike & horses.
What have you enjoyed most about the Options experience?
Everything I’ve learned in the four years of being an Options student.
What is your favorite subject in school?
Probably Art & Human and Social Services, because of the teachers in each class and because of the things that I learned in those classes.
Have you improved in any areas since starting at Options?
Yes, I think in all areas
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I want to be a flight attendant
How would you explain Options to a friend?
Options is like a second home that I’ve learned so much within school academics but being at Options has also taught me multiple life lessons that I will carry with me in life. My teachers have also made a huge impact on my and on my life.
Isaiah B.
Options @ HYCA

Hometown: I’m from Indianapolis, but I’ve been living in the Glendale/Phoenix, Arizona area for the last five years. I moved back to attend this program, before going back to Arizona.
Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
In general, I love to cook, and I also love music. I’m a music producer and a DJ, so I’ve been spending some free time in Knightstown writing music that I can make happen when I get back home. I have been more in the background recently as a producer, but I’ve been wanting to get back into singing & rapping as well. I have family in music, so music has basically been my entire life.
What has your HYCA experience been like?
I had to get used to being back here with the weather and being away from my family, but overall, it has been good for me. I know that I’m working towards a goal, and this will all be worth it when I graduate.
Do you feel like you’ve improved in any areas while in the Options @ HYCA program?
I feel like I’ve been able to be more productive and more consistent when it comes to schoolwork and accomplishing tasks. I also got more comfortable with speaking up for myself.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I just love science. I would say chemistry and biology are subjects I’ve enjoyed the most, but I also enjoy math.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I want to continue working on music and putting time into that, while also going to culinary school. I’ve always just had a passion for creation.
Victoria
Options @ HYCA

Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
Do you have any hobbies, passions, or ways you enjoy spending your free time?
I really enjoy marching. I also really enjoy reading in my free time.
What has your HYCA experience been like?
I was struggling at first, but it has been good for me. I am more vocal than I used to be and comfortable with speaking up for myself.
What is your favorite subject in school?
I enjoy history. I would say The Renaissance is an area I like especially.
Do you have any current plans or aspirations for after you graduate?
I have not decided on anything, but some of the things I am interested in include cosmetology, cars & cooking. I think something that is hands-on. I’m going to focus on finishing my high school diploma with Options Indiana, and then go from there!
