Kickboxing World Champion speaks to Options students

NOBLESVILLE – Actor, stuntman and former world kickboxing champion Jerry Trimble spoke to Options-Noblesville, Options-Carmel and Options-Distance Education students on Tuesday morning at Ivy Tech Community College in Noblesville.

An inspiration to many, Trimble shared his story of how he was able to overcome bullying and go after his dreams of becoming a World Champion Actor and Stuntman. Using his own life as a blueprint for creating change, Trimble inspires youth to get out of their comfort zone discover their gifts and use those gifts to go after their dreams.

With students in attendance from both Options campuses and Options Distance Education students having streamed the event, all Options students were able to hear Trimble’s story of overcoming adversity to turn his dreams into reality. Students in attendance also participated in some activities to encourage them to embrace change. Options students & parents interested in re-watching the presentation can email their respective Principal to obtain the website link.

Following the event, Trimble recapped the event and shared some words of wisdom.

“My intention coming in here is that I plant seeds of hope, inspiration and empowerment into each of their minds, bodies and spirit,” Trimble said. ” So when they walk out of here, they’ll know they have something special and they can tap into whatever they have. You know, it’s a process and hopefully I share my process with them so they can get something out of it to the point where they’re going, ‘Wow, I can actually, I can do that. I can do what he did. If it’s not becoming a world champion, it’s something else.'”

The event was also covered by WISH-TV and was featured in Tuesday’s evening news broadcast.
